Newcomer is a network for LGBTQ Refugees and LGBTQ Migrants
RFSL Stockholm’s Newcomer group invites you to a meeting place and a network for LGBTQ refugees and LGBTQ migrants who have fled persecution based on sexual orientation,gender identity or gender expression. Newcomer is also a network for LGBTQ persons who have just moved to or already live in Sweden because of other reasons.

In the RFSL Stockholm Newcomer group you will meet new friends and get to know the Swedish LGBTQ community. Maybe you can get training in the Swedish language, advice on how to find a job and/or somewhere to stay, as well as were to find health care and how Swedish authorities and institutions operate. The network can, if necessary, also provide contacts with RFSL’s legal advice and arrange counselling.

We meet regularly at ”Huset”, RFSL Stockholm, Sveavägen 59 in Stockholm.

Want to become a volunteer? There are different ways to help. Maybe you can interpret? Do you have ideas for social activities? Would you like to organize a support party, raise money? Newcomer är ett nätverk för hbtq-flyktingar och hbtq-migranter
RFSL Stockholms Newcomer-grupp erbjuder en mötesplats och ett nätverk för dig som har flytt förföljelse på grund av sexuell orientering, könsidentitet eller könsuttryck. Nätverket är till för dig som är asylsökande, för dig som fått asyl eller som flyttat hit genom anknytning eller bor här av andra orsaker.

I Newcomer-gruppen träffar du nya vänner och får lära känna den svenska hbtq-världen. Du kan till exempel få träning i svenska språket, få tips om jobb och boende. Du får veta var det finns bra sjukvård och hur svenska myndigheter och institutioner fungerar. Nätverket kan vid behov också förmedla kontakter med RFSL:s juridiska rådgivning och ordna stödsamtal.
