70 years of legal gay rights - again.

The City Archives and RFSL Stockholm invite you to an evening of LGBTQ history - again.

Due to the great interest last time, and that some unfortunately did not get a place at the City Archives, we are doing the evening again.
May 18, 13-16 at RFSL Huset - Hyllan.
You are welcome.

On the program:

In 1944, section 18:10 of the Penal Code on ”fornication against nature” was abolished.

- When homosexuality became legal and the police discovered lesbians.
Hear about the 1944 decision, other important dates in LGBT history and the sources in the archives.

- Personal memories
RFSL veterans talk about their experiences of the 1970s and 80s.

- Coffee break - we offer coffee and cake

- Diana, Timmy & the history of RFSL Stockholm
The City Archives houses RFSL Stockholm's archives. Hear about the history of the organization and its predecessors.

- The Unstragiht Museum visits us and talks about its activities. The Unstraight Museum aims to address the lack of stories about unstraight people in museums around the world. On the website http://www.unstraight.org/ collects the stories and objects that give a different side of history. The organization is based in Sweden but has carried out several international projects.

We have put a lot of focus on including women and transgender people throughout the program. However, there is a lot of information missing from the archives (and history). Do you have material/information/old papers at home that are just collecting dust? We, both RFSL Stockholm and Stadsarkviet, are extremely interested in getting hold of this if so. Bring it with you on May 18 or email ki*@***********lm.se and we can bring it to the archive (according to your wishes, of course)

No pre-registration is required.
