The project ”Women in focus” is a project targeting lesbian, bisexual and queer women who have sex with women who either live or previously lived in Stockholm. The target group includes cis and trans women and non-binary women. We are now looking for participants for in-depth interviews that will take place during the spring and summer. In total, we are looking for 10 - 15 people and you who participate are completely anonymous. The interview will take approximately one hour and you will receive movie tickets as a thank you for your contribution!
The project manager will record and transcribe the interview, and only the project manager will have access to the interview material. Individual quotes will be included in the final report and in presentations about the project. However, nothing will be traceable to individuals. You will choose which questions you want to answer and you can stop participating at any time. The focus of the interview will be your previous experiences of care and your care needs.
Much research shows that there are major differences in how women who have sex with women feel regarding several health factors, that they feel worse than heterosexuals in several areas and that there are differences in how the target group seeks care compared to other groups. The aim of the project is to increase knowledge about the needs of the target group in health care contacts and what health promotion efforts are needed to achieve equal health in the long term.
