Do you find it difficult to talk about or bring LGBTQI into schools? Do you work as a principal, teacher or strategist with issues related to LGBTQI and schools? Welcome to us at RFSL Stockholm to listen to how we work to clarify and simplify the work with LGBTQI in secondary schools!
RFSL Stockholm's new project “Vi finns överallt - hbtqi på schemat” examines what it is like to be a young LGBTI person today, and aims to create a new, subject-integrated educational material on LGBTI for the later years of primary and secondary school. The aim is to increase the safety and visibility of young LGBTI people in schools by increasing the representation of LGBTI in education. The material will be available for free download and use once the project is completed in 2027.
We invite you already now to take part in challenges, approaches and creative ways forward to make it easier for teaching staff to work with LGBTQI in their subjects. There is also the opportunity to become part of a network group where we will discuss the challenges and opportunities of working pedagogically with LGBTQI during the fall.
When? Friday, September 13, 09:30-10:45. Breakfast will be served from 09:00!
Where? Alsnögatan 7, 3 stairs up in our premises at RFSL Stockholm. Ring the bell and we will let you in.
How to do it? Free and first come, first served! Please register via the link at the bottom of the page and indicate which workplace you come from, as well as your dietary preferences. Responses are requested by Friday 30/8 - registration closes when places are filled.
