Nominate for RFSL Stockholm's annual awards!

Join us in nominating your candidates for RFSL Stockholm's annual awards!

The three prizes are our chance to celebrate people and events together as members. The prizes will be awarded during the opening gala of Stockholm Pride.

The Old Heroes Award goes to a person who has made important contributions to our LGBTI community. The prize exists to remember our Swedish LGBTI history, to pay tribute to people who were ahead of their time and who, through their work, have both touched and inspired their and future generations. The prize will primarily be awarded to people who have not previously been sufficiently recognized for their efforts.

The Rainbow Award goes to a person or an organization that has done something positive for our LGBTI community during the past year. Through the award, we want to recognize and celebrate someone who, for example, has worked for our rights, started new meeting places or who in a positive way has made one of the groups that are part of our community visible. Someone who has dared and persevered when it was really needed.

The Pink Thistle is awarded to a person or organization that has done something negative for LGBTI rights in the past year. The award is a negative award that we hope will lead to change. It can be awarded to someone who has actively worked against the rights of the LGBTI community, someone who has expressed homophobia and/or transphobia, disadvantaged our community or been cowardly or indifferent to our rights when it was clearly needed.

It is good if the people or organizations you nominate have a clear connection to Stockholm County.

Send your nomination to st******@************sl.se at the latest Monday, June 10, 2019.
