It's time for the annual award ceremonies. RFSL Stockholm's Board of Directors annually awards the Pink Thistle prize and now you have the opportunity to nominate a person who you think deserves the prize. The criteria for the award are:
The Rosa Tisteln (formerly the Homophobia Prize) in turn recognizes individuals/organizations that have made counterproductive efforts for the LGBTQ community. It is desirable, but not necessary, that the prize has a clear connection to Stockholm County. The prize can be awarded to individuals or organizations, for example:
Who have actively opposed the granting of equal rights to persons within the LGBTQ community.Who, through their expression of homophobia or transphobia, lack of LGBTQ competence or discriminatory actions, have disadvantaged the LGBTQ communitywho have shown cowardice or indifference in standing up for the rights of LGBT people in situations where it is clearly required.
