The price of old heroes
The RFSL Stockholm Board has chosen to award Monica Evadotter Old Heroes Award for her 30-year commitment to creating meeting places for mature lesbians and bisexual women, bringing attention to an often invisible part of our community. Monica Evadotter founded the Golden Ladies Club in Stockholm in 1989 after coming out herself in her 40s, and has also helped set up local associations in other parts of the country. The Old Heroes Award is given to Monica Evadotter for being an inspiration through her tireless commitment and her welcoming attitude that it is never too late to come out.

The Rainbow Prize
The Board has decided to allocate South Asian Pride The Rainbow Award for providing a safe space for South Asian LGBTI people to be themselves and express their cultural identity. South Asian Pride courageously resists heteronorms and honor norms and works to draw attention to the issue of equal rights within the South Asian community in Sweden and in the world. In doing so, they shine a light on an issue that many in Sweden are unaware of and break some of the silence and shame that surrounds LGBTI people in or from South Asia. The Rainbow Prize is awarded to South Asian Pride for showing great courage and contributing to a platform for discussion and for giving Stockholm's queer life an important place where we and our friends can meet.

Pink thistles
The Board has decided to allocate SVT and Uppdrag granskning Pink thistle for the program The crane train and teenage girls. By broadcasting a heavily biased program about young people receiving gender-affirming treatment, SVT and Uppdrag Granskning have created a very simplified and one-sided picture of a sensitive issue, and have therefore exposed an already vulnerable group to further stigmatization. The Pink Thistle is awarded to SVT and Uppdrag Granskning with the hope of self-examination and that the subject will be treated more nuanced in the future.
