Welcome to an evening where pop culture and queer history meet across the Atlantic!

On May 5, Queerkväll welcomes Matt Baume , an author, podcaster, and YouTuber based in Seattle. Through his work, he highlights LGBTQ+ representation in media, and in his latest book Hi Honey, I’m Homo!, he explores the evolution of queer characters in American sitcoms.
During the evening, Matt will take us through iconic TV moments from the 1970s to the 1990s. This is also a conversation in two directions, where you are invited to share reflections, memories, and examples from Swedish queer television from the same era.
We will also be giving away a limited number of copies of Matt’s book during the event.
Whether you are curious, nostalgic, or simply want to discover something new together with others, this is a space for connection and exchange. The event is free and open to all LGBTQI+ people.
